I am back on the blog today to share a quick look at my faith journaling Bible!
This month, I asked my curator for a Deluxe Kit for Bible Journaling. My whole Kit was amazing, and I was especially excited that she included a set of watercolor tabs, labelled for each book of the Bible.
I whipped out my watercolors and got to work! I decided to go with a rainbow effect, moving through the colors and adding more and less water to give the tabs dimension and interest. Finally, I added some white splatters with acrylic paint.
After everything dried, I started adding them to my bible. I tried to keep them lined up as I moved through the book – they aren’t perfect! I love how they look, both when the book is open or closed.
The stickers sheet included some extra blank tabs and I decided to use them as well. I have
a second larger format Bible that is only the New Testament. The front of the Bible has some pretty coral florals, so I matched the tones, creating an orangeish-pink color for the tabs. I was excited to be able to update both of my Bibles, all because my curator gave me a great jumping off point to get started!
Do you use tabs on your Bible? I’d love to hear what works for you!
