So many scrapbook companies are making such fabulous cut apart pattern papers these days. A 12×12 pattern on one side and then usually some pocket life size cards, a few tags and even a title or phrase but as well that you can cut up for laying and such.
The problem is these cut apart patterns are so fabulous and match so wonderfully I don’t even want to cut them apart – so I didn’t! The Crate Paper, Magical Forest cut apart pattern in my Deluxe Kit this month was just too good to cut up. So instead I used it as my 8.5 x 11 backgrounds paper and used the cut apart pattern to anchor my embellishments!
To embellish this paper, I used the phrases that made of the branding strip of one of the Heidi Swapp, Honey & Spice and my sewing machine. I don’t sew clothes but I can stitch a straight line on paper – go me!
I matted my photo with a few layers from papers in my kit and sewed down a matte using the Crate Paper, Magical Forest specialty vellum. I cannot wait to do more with this vellum on another layout … maybe a shaker pocket!
Added some embellishments from the Heidi Swapp, Honey & Spice die cuts from my kit and decided to add my title right on the photo. This is one of the words in the Crate Paper, Magical Food puffy sticky set that is just too cute. I don’t usually put stickers on my photos. I see other people do it and it looks so good but has never worked out for me. I think it did this time.
