Hey friends welcome back to the blog with Jess.  I am sharing one of the first pages I have made using my January petite kit for my November Week In The Life.  I decided to spend the week of my birthday doing a WITL style project of taking photos and documenting stories.  I often miss oput scrapping November because I’m finishing up Autumn projects while getting stuck into December Daily and my birthday month just gets missed so I decided to ‘document now’ in November in order to ‘make later’ in January.  I just got all my photos printed through Truprint as they had a 1p print sale and I have a desk organiser full of gorgeous product based around the OneCanoeTwo Willow collection – from this months kit, previous months kits and a few bits I purchased or got as a gift for my birthday.

Long intro aside, I decided to start with this months sketch:

I rotated it to fit a 6×8 layout and made the squares 1.5inch and re-printed the photos to be a bit smaller.  I chose my favourite papers and some of the Amy Tangerine speciality acetate paper from my kit for the squares.

I backed the photos with white to help them stand out against the different colours and used a gold foil Heidi Swapp word ‘daily’ for the title.

I embellished with stickers from the Willow collection that all tied together.

I really enjoyed this sketch and how it turned out on a 6×8 page – I think it is a quick and easy way to get a really effective design and use up small pieces of patterned paper.  It’s definitely going to become one of those designs I use again and again.

I hope you enjoyed this look at my take on the sketch, hopefully soon I will have even more Week In The Life pages to share.

Happy Crafting
