Welcome to the blog! Today we are going to talk about handmade embellishments and layering! Do you pre-make embellishments to have them ready for layouts or other projects? Sometimes it can be fun to make these ahead of time to make creating layouts quick, easy and fun! Today, I am showing you my rosettes, which would be a little too dimensional for a layout, but you can take the tips and foundations from these handmade rosettes to make your own embellishments to use on any project.
If you would like to see a full process of this layout, you can go to my YouTube channel to see the details. But for now, I will show you the three rosettes I made and the details I love about them!
My first one turned out to be in a diagonal style. The embellishments go from the top left to bottom right. I love the little chipboard embellishments that came in my kit from the Paige Evans embellishment pack.
For the second rosette, the key is to use the largest embellishments first and work your way up and use smaller embellishments as you go. However, don’t feel constricted with that because you can always slip some embellishments in behind at the end if you feel you need more.
For the last rosette, I think I may have gone a little overboard with the embellishments, but it was so much fun to make. I went crazy with the layers and sprinkled lots of little embellishments like stars and hearts on top and in between.
Well, I hope you are feeling inspired to make some embellishments of your own!
