Hey friends its Jess and today I have something different to share. I might have mentioned before that I wanted to do a Week in the Life style project in November. It’s a month that often gets missed in the midst of finishing off scrapping Autumn and starting on prep for December Daily and it’s my favourite month because it’s my birthday and my sisters and we often have lots of family events to document.
I decided to take lots of photos and write journalling during my birthday week and put it all to one side until after December Daily was complete so that’s what I did. I have used a 6×8 album and planned to have typed journalling for each day, a layout or two and the rest photos and cards in pockets.
I’ll be sharing one or two of my layouts on the blog and the rest over on Instagram but today I wanted to share the pocket cards I created. Because all my journalling will be printed on 6×8 pages the cards didn’t need to house journalling, so I took my papers, scraps, embellishments, word stickers and enamel dots and set to work creating some pretty cards to go in my album.
Doing it this way made it so easy to put the album together and I love the look of my personalised cards. Doing this has actually made me consider doing Project Life again.
It also meant that I felt like I could give myself full permission to not embellish the photos much at all because I had cards and layouts I had worked hard on making decorative that the pictures could stand alone.
