Hey again Wild Hare Kits fans!  It’s Kira and I am back with an 8.5×11 layout, using my February kit.

I started by choosing my photo, which is of, mostly, my oldest son.  There isn’t much of a story to go along with the photo, but I keep a list on my phone of all the cute phrases and conversations he has and then when I need some journaling to go along with a photo, I reference it to find one I want to use.  I had been dying to make a layout about the one time he had completed a task and then turned to me and said “Easy peasy lemon squeezey”.  Since my husband and I have never used this phrase, it was rather funny and took me a bit by surprise.

So I started by using a yellow piece of patterned paper from my kit, and a lemon cut file from The Cut Shoppe.  Before adhering it to the page, I used some Shimmerz paint to add some black splatters to my white cardstock.  I knew I would be using the Heidi Swapp stamps included in my kit, so I wanted to bring some black into my layout to tie it all together.

I used some glitter foam thickers from my stash to spell out the title.  Then I stamped the quotation marks from the stamp set included in my kit, fussy cut them out and popped them up on foam adhesive.

I backed my photo with some pink patterned paper from my kit, I wanted to make sure with my bright, and slightly busy background, along with my large, glittery title, that my photo really popped off the page.

I pulled in some of the Heidi Swapp stickers included in my kit, and a Freckled Fawn label sticker (which I stamped with the word “chill”).  I wanted to bring in some more green so I pulled a die cut from my January kit from The Wild Hare Kits, cut it in two and placed it on either side of my photo.

I adhered everything down, using bit of foam adhesive to add some dimension around the page.  And then, done!  Thanks so much for stopping by!

xo, Kira
