Hello Crafty Friends!
This project is special to me because I’m engaged! I can’t lie – one of the wedding things I’m most excited about is all the memories I will have to document throughout the upcoming months. My January Deluxe Kit was filled with gorgeous blue shades, florals, and script elements – little did I know how perfect it would be for some romantic winter crafting! I created this Traveler’s Notebook Layout to capture the proposal moment, with a special photo and journaling.
Starting with two of the beautiful 6×6 papers from the Pink Paislee Indigo and Ivy collection, I trimmed off the white space on the watercolor wash piece to add even more layering to the background. I wanted to bring in a few more colors, so this stripe paper was perfect. For this layout, I used a lot of white space. It gives such a fresh, airy look to the page.
To stick with the white space look, I kept everything on the bottom half of the page. I used the January Cut File as a frame around my 2×3 photo, and layered some Pink Fresh Studio – Just a Little Lovely – die cuts on top to add a little extra pop. I layered even more die cuts on the right page, with a Pink Fresh Studio puffy sticker too.
A date stamp, some Freckled Fawn alpha stickers (xo on the left page), and some journaling finished off this page! I hope this layout inspires you to create different layouts using white space. There is still plenty to look at, without overwhelming the eye.
Thank you for checking out my project! I hope your 2020 is filled with lots of crafting 🙂
