I am so excited to be sharing another project with you today on the Wild Hare Kits blog. After reading an article I found online called “The Gifts and Callings of God” by Kenneth E. Hagin, I wanted to spend a little time in my journal rewriting the main points, scriptures, and my thoughts and prayers about the subject.
Before I started any journaling, I punched out a few circles from the 12×12 papers that came in my October Petite Kit. I also stamped the floral designs using the Dear Lizzy She’s Magic stamp set. I used fall colors that coordinated with the patterned paper to keep it cohesive. Sometimes I layered the stamps, sometimes I did just the outline or the solid for variation. I arranged all the elements around the edge of the layout so I had plenty of room for journaling and lettering.
I love using label stickers in my layouts, and I used both labels from my kit – Freckled Fawn – and basic black Avery Labels. These are great to draw attention to key verses and ideas. I also used some for decoration 🙂
Everything else is my journaling and lettering! This kind of note-taking allows me to slow down, really think about what I’m reading and writing, and get creative in the process. And you can do this for any media – podcast, book, sermon, article, or even just your own journaling! A few stamps, labels, and paper punches go a long way in making the most basic journaling look personal and beautiful.
Thanks for checking out this blog post! I hope it inspires you to use your craft supplies in your own note-taking and journaling.
