Hello Wild Hare Community!
I am excited to be on the Wild Hare Blog today sharing about this layout I made to document a wedding I attended with my fiancé. My March Kit was filled with beautiful 12×12 papers, fun washi tape, and the cut file, and I can’t wait to show you how I used them all in this layout!
Starting with the light pink starry background paper from One Canoe Two, I knew I wanted to fussy cut the flowers from the Jen Hadfield Hey Hello paper to create a layered layout. Once I had cut out the flowers and arranged them with my photos, the “magic” cut file wasn’t quite standing out enough. So, I pulled out some charcoal grey paint and painted it! With just one layer, the cut file was completely transformed, and it is beautifully bold against the background now!
With the flowers, cut file, and photos in place, the rest was just embellishment. I added a flag label from the Freckled Fawn Fun in the Sun label stickers, and then I looked around in my kit for a few other coral/pink pieces to tie in with it. The Creative Devotions washi tape was perfect for layering, and I cut out the “hand in hand” phrase from the Dear Lizzy She’s Magic paper called “Feeling Fine”.
A quick little date stamp, and this project was finished! I love getting creative with my kit each month, and making all the supplies work for me. Because I’m not a 12×12 Scrapbooker, I often fussy cut, punch, trim down, and tear my papers to use in projects. No matter what kind of crafter you are, the Wild Hare Kits is curated for you!
I hope all my fellow crafters around the world are staying healthy and using this time at home to do a little craft therapy. Lots of love!
