Hey there! It’s Kira and I am back with another 8.5×11 scrapbook layout using my May kit from The Wild Hare Kits.
My kids are not keen on the dentist. They’ve both gone a few times in their short lives and although our dentist is amazing and patient, my kids could only be described as “monsters”. But our latest trip was awesome! My oldest son did everything the hygienists/assistants/dentist asked of him and I was mostly in shock during our time there. While getting his x-rays, I could overhear him telling the assistant that she was taking pictures of the “sugar bugs”, and he kept using this phrase throughout his visit. It was so funny, that I just had to document it!
I decided to create a giant tooth cut file to start, then I backed it with a floral paper from my kit. I used fun foam underneath to give it some dimension.
I placed the photo of my son in the dentist chair on the left side, and built a cluster to the right of him with an ice cream (fussy cut from a paper), popsicle (from the die cut pack) and a floral piece (fussy cut from a paper).
I created two more floral clusters under the tooth, using more die cuts, fussy cut florals and even some feather stickers. On the bottom cluster I used a label layered with a “fearless” sticker, which I thought was perfect for the attitude my son had during this visit!
I finished off the layout with the title “Goodbye Sugar Bugs” with some foam thickers from my stash, some journaling on top of the tooth and finally some gold splatters.
Thanks for stopping by!
