Hello crafty friends! Amber here on the Wild Hare Kits blog today to share with you a cute, teeny tiny mini album I created using my March Kit. This month I asked for some of the bits and pieces from the new Jen Hadfield collection “Hey! Hello!”. I love the pastel colors and the characters in this collection–it’s all just so cute and I had so much fun putting this album together!
The base of my mini album was made using chipboard. I cut two pieces that measured 2.5 by 2.5 inches (A) and three pieces that measured 1 by 2.5 inches (B). I used a piece of paper that measured 3.5 by 9.25 inches to wrap my chipboard in the following order: A, B, A, B, B. For the lining, I used a piece of paper that measured 2.25 by 8 inches. To keep the album closed I used a velcro dot.
For the pages of my album I used some square cut-aparts from the “Thank You Sentiments” sheet from “Hey! Hello!”. I first made these pieces into pockets by stitching another 2 by 2 inch piece of paper to the back of it while leaving the top unstitched and open. I then zig-zag stitched all my squares together in a row along their edges and accordion folded them onto one another. Before adhering my stack of pages to the album itself, I glued down some cute checkered ribbon to use to tie the pages closed. I then adhered my pages down and began to embellish!
I used the ephemera pack and cardstock stickers from the “Hey! Hello!” collection to embellish the pages and covers of my album. I also stitched some alphas onto the spine of my album to spell out the word “happy”.
The last step was to, of course, add some cute tassels and charms to the spine, and now my mini is ready for some photos!
Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today! I’ll see you next month with another fun project!
