Hey guys its Jess here and I’m happy to be sharing this 12×12 layout I created using my April Kit. The Maggie Holmes Sunny Days bits I got lent themselves so well to travel documenting I had to make a big page using my favourite photo from my Whitby trip. I wasn’t expecting such good weather in February in the UK so I never thought to request Sunny Days to document it in the TN I created last month.
For this layout I used a cutfile I bought from a UK store – it’s a Paige Evans one that says ‘Wanderlust’ I backed each letter with a different paper from my petite kit (or the stash kit I put together – there’s a video on my Instagram TV if you want to see what went into that)
It’s hard to see from the photo but my picture is backed onto some of the Pinkfresh Studio packaging from last months ‘Out and About’ kit, its a cute pale blue map design that was just begging to be used. I also pulled the stitched map off one of the Pinkfresh frames and embellished the photo with Sunny Days stickers.
I added more stickers onto the title and in the bottom corner. I tried to use similar colours to the papers but on top of contrasting papers. I also found a stamp shaped chipboard piece from my stash, I think it was from an old Crate Paper collection – Oasis. I love using big cutfiles because once the shapes are backed it doesn’t need much embellishing and I’m all for minimalism when I am so limited on time to scrap.
I hope you’re having a great crafty month.
