Hi crafty friends, Daniela (@daaaanscrappt) here and I’m so excited about sharing my very first layout with you today. My first Wild Hare Kit is so awesome and perfectly fits my needs. I’m mainly doing 12×12 layouts and asked for a kit that can be used for documenting our everyday life with two kids, so I wanted the kit to work for both, boys and girls. Well, what should I say, that’s exactly what I got. The coolest papers and embellishments for doing boyish layouts and beautiful papers and die-cuts with florals and sweet patterns.
Today I want to show you the very first page created with the kit, a real boy’s page. So here it is:
I started my page by applying black acrylic paint with a make-up sponge to create a background on white cardstock. This way, the colorful papers from the Teen Spirit Collection from Echo Park become really poppy. I built different layers and all the elements used overlap here and there.
I’m totally into black and white pictures combined with bold colors right now. I also added tiny details like color splashes and tiny stars from The Echo Park 12×12 sticker sheet that was included in my kit.
To create a messy style, I not only added color splashes, but also teared the paper on one edge and backed it with paper stripes. Some more stickers from the sticker sheet form a little cluster.
The ephemera pack from Echo Park paper is one of my faves from this kit. It offers so many possibilities in combination with the included paper and alphabet stickers. I did three more layouts in boyish style with this kit which I’ll be sharing soon on social media.
I hope you like my first spread. Have fun using your kit and don’t forget to share your creations on Instagram using the hashtag #thewildharekits .
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!
